Pink & Blue Booties

My first COMMISSIONED work!!! A sweet friend from church requested I make some booties for her. I was so honored. Well, here they are:

#10

Notice the bunnies?

I've hesitated to make the bunny pattern in the past, not knowing if it was 'too much' or not.  But they came out cute.  My friend likes them which is all that really matters.

Pink Sandals

Back in July, I made these little summer booties for my friend, Karen.

Her little Piper got to wear them and she showed them off on FaceBook.

Booties for Bob

My husband has a booth at a local antique mall.  The booth fee is quite steep for someone just starting out, so I decided to make him some booties to sell.  If they sell, I thought it could help him out.  So I hope it works.

Here they are---

One for a girl:

I threaded red ribbon in through the eyelet row, but I didn't get a pic of that.

And one for a boy:

I like the cute little button.

Here's hoping!!!

He already took the white ones to the booth.  The blue are ready to go.  See?

The white booties are from the Bootie Collection, White Shells, Pattern #3.
The blue booties are from the Booties by the Dozen collection, Little Loafers, Pattern #10.

Bootie/Sweater Set

My nephew, Titus, turned a year old in July.
When he was born, I made him a sweater and
bootie set out of frosty green and black.

It was SO CUTE!!!

I wish these pictures could do it justice,
but the lighting was bad the day I took them.

Better bad pictures than no pictures, I guess.

The booties are the "All Star" pattern from
by Kay Meadors

The sweater is the Victorian Rose Sweater pattern from
designed by Kelly Robinson.

My color choices were
Aunt Lydia's Frosty Green,
Black, and White.
Hook size 7 (1.65mm)

I found the cute little tennis shoe buttons at Wal-Mart.

If I make the pattern for a boy again,
I will edge it in a plainer stitch, like
single crochet (American).
The scallops were a bit much
for a boy, in my opinion.

But CUTE nevertheless!!!

Little Boy Blue

These handsome Delft booties are
made from the pattern:

Little Loafers

I love the buttoned flap accent!

These, as are all the booties I make, are for
a baby 0-3 months old.

They are made with a size 7 (1.65mm) hook
using size 10 crochet thread,
Aunt Lydia's - Delft and White.

The pattern is from the Leisure Arts book #3243
