Our internet has been off for over a month. I'm just now back on. I have been busy around the house with a little crochet here and there. I need to photograph a few things.
In the meantime, here are some photos of my flowers.

Absentee Blogger
Friends, I have not fallen off the face of the earth, but life has gotten busy. Home repairs, surgery, outdoor wind damage, and regular stuff. One of these days, maybe I'll get some more pictures taken and posted.
We have about 10 weeks of school left when we resume after Spring Break. Then I will be finished with my 1st year of homeschooling highschool. It hasn't been as bad as I first imagined it to be. Hopefully we will finish strong. During our week off, I need to finish up some grading, get 3rd quarter grades figured, and plan the last 10 weeks out.
Planning to be in the Easter program at our church Palm Sunday. The songs are good, and I love to sing. So, I'm looking forward to it. I have to go to practice for it in about an hour and a half as a matter of fact.
My husband is tackling our other bathroom shower to re-tile it. Another 'fun' vacation for him. He is so good about taking care of us. We appreciate him so much. I am finally getting time to paint the other bathroom. I hope (God-willing) to have that done by Tuesday. Then, after it dries thoroughly, I can start to slowly add finishing touches as I find whatever suits my fancy, and fits my budget! ;)
My flowers are starting to bloom in my front flower bed. LOVE IT!!! I actually found time AND motivation to weed this week. And my asparagus beds have start to produce a little. So we've had a smidgeon of sauteed asparagus the past couple of weeks. Looking forward to having more than a few stalks at a time. Haven't tackled the garden yet, except to pull a few weeds (and there are many more where those came from).
No time to work on my songwriting of late. And not a lot of crochet either. I have done some booties, and I'm working on a sweater. My shoulders and arm won't let me crochet for hours at a time. I'm having trouble with my muscles getting tight from it and not wanting to relax afterward. Getting older stinks.
On the whole though, life is good here. My family is wonderful. My teenagers are not rotten. We have a nice home full of love. We have a wonderful church family. We have a marvelous Father in Heaven and a precious Savior of our souls, Jesus Christ. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!!!
I hope you have a great week. I plan to. May God bless you and keep you and make His Face shine upon you.

4 Little Doilies by Patricia Kristoffersen
I have finished 4 (and started a 5th, he he) of PK's Little Doilies! So great!!! You can get one done in an evening or 2. Fast and BEAUTIFUL!!! EXQUISITE!!! DAINTY!!! So, it's love, love, and more love on my part. :)
Here's some pictures of them getting blocked and the finished product. Let's do the 'Ta-Daa' first, shall we?
The edging on the heart gave me a few tough moments. The directions were lengthy, and I was tired... Besides, on a PK, I usually have one row I have to think a little harder about because of her complexity. But it is SO worth it! Because her designs are BEE-U-TEE-FULLLLL!!!

| Had to show the ever-present light saber clearly once. Homes with all boys have a few standards like this one, along with toy cars, stacking plastic blocks, army men to name a few. :) |
